S.N.D.T. Women's University: was founded in 1916 by the well-known social reformer Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve. It is an unique institution committed to the cause of women's education and empowerment. It was accorded statutory recognition in 1951 and has jurisdiction all over India.
